      I.  Approval of Agenda

     II.  Officer Reports

A.    President – Stephanie Rostad

1.            Changes to student health

i.          Co-Pays for x-rays, antibiotics, flu shots and psychiatric visits

ii.         Moving to old St. Johns next semester

iii.        Full time nurse practitioner hired

      2. Fitness center should open in the middle of this month

B.    Vice President of External Affairs – Paul Voss

1.            Survey over MAP testing

C.   Vice President of Internal Affairs – Dominic Clucas

1.            Overseeing new exec members and working on exec retreat

2.            Began working on newsletter

D.   Treasurer – Ashley Hampton

1.            Spent: $4000. Current balance: approx. $24,000

2.            Any T-shirt ideas should be brought to Ashley

E.    Recorder – Marina Jacobe

1.            Sign up online if you already have not at stuco.mst.edu

    III.  Advisor Reports – Mark Potrafka, Dr. Steve Raper

A.    Stuco is conduit to administration so take responsibility seriously.

B.    New members will have orientation in a few weeks.

C.   There are free copies of newspapers throughout campus, so use, share, and recycle. The card readers are having problems, so bear with us.

D.   September 9th Tour of Missouri finish line will be in Rolla! The race will finish between 3 and 4p on Wednesday. Due to this, Castleman Hall parking will be closed starting Tuesday evening. Wellness Exposition will take place that Wednesday at noon in front of Castleman Hall. Please take part; it is free. For more information go to tourofmissouri.com or visit Mark Potrafka.

   IV.  Committee Reports

A.    CCI – Physical / Policy – David Griffin and Nick Wilson

1.            There are two major surveys each year: What Students Expect from        Professors and Student Interest

2.            Light walks at night on campus and clock walks, municipality service walk to make sure everything is functioning.

3.            Say anything table will be set up for any ideas for improvements.

B.    Student Services – Caitlin Gifford

1.            Blood Drive September 8-11th in Havener for Greeks vs. Res Life! Give blood and help out!

C.   Recognition and Leadership – Alexa Rooney

1.            Student of the month, Committee of the month, Awards in mid April for the Leadership Conference which will take place at the end of January.

D.   Public Relations – Amiel Weerasinghe, Selin Acar, and Katie Bruce

1.            Miner for a Day, MinerNET, Campus Showcase, PR for organizations

E.    Web Administration – Michelle Vaughan

1.            Takes care of Stuco website and stuco server. Sign up for facebook group!

F.    Student Information & Technology – Brian Daming

1.            In charge of student IT services. Tries to get IT to use out money efficiently.

2.            In charge of Print Management and moving email to google or Microsoft.

    V.  Executive Assistants

A.    Student Diversity Liaison – Baheirah Khusheim

1.            Serves as a link between organizations and student council. Will be organizing several activities on campus.

B.    City Council Representative – Richard Campos

1.            Deals with anything that has to do with issues with the city. Attends city council meetings each month. Meeting with city administrators Friday.

C.   Executive at Large – Patrick Holloway and Anthony Cook

1.            Don’t have set things to do, but will help out where needed. This semester, trying to take care of “stinky plants” outside of the RC and acting as Student Health liaison.

   VI.  Student Activity Finance Board – Matt Faulkner

A.    Deal with 3-4 million dollars from student fees. Help to decide where the money goes by interviewing different groups.

B.    Right now the preliminary materials for DSF are made available on September 7 and due the 21st.

C.   EFC applications are due on September 11th

D.   RSO financial seminar will take place September 9th at noon in the Missouri room

  VII.  St. Pat’s Committee – Michael Schwartz

A.    Only 191 days left until the best ever St. Pats. Let’s get fired up!!!!!!!

 VIII.  Associate Organizations

A.    Associated Student of the University of Missouri – Devin Worstell and Megan R.

1.            Trying to represent the students from S&T in Jefferson City.

2.            Accepting applications for their internships. An informational in on Wednesday the 9th at noon.

B.    Council of Graduate Students

1.            No report.

C.   Interfraternity Council – Alex Vitale

1.            Governing body for fraternities on campus.

2.            Giving greek points for Blood Drive.

D.   Panhellenic Council – Megan McLain

1.            Formal recruitment went well.

2.            Greek presidents meeting last Thursday.

3.            Looking forward to Greek Week!

E.    Residence Hall Association – Laura Vale

1.            Preparing to meet in all the individual halls.

F.    Student Union Board – Jeremy Saphire

1.            We do the fun stuff such as comedians, movies, and helping other groups.

2.            Welcome back night is coming up next week.

3.            Campus Showcase is still accepting applications.

A.    Member Requirements                      

1.            Outlined in the constitution:

i.          If you miss 4 meetings without an excused absence, you will brought up for expulsion.

ii.         Each person will be put into a committee and is expected to attend any meetings as set by the chair.

iii.        Each member is expected to complete three service hours per semester.

B.    Homecoming Nominations

1.            Trevor Bollmann moved to open king nominations. Shahad Khomeis seconds.

i.          Paul Voss, Devin Worstell, Anthony Cook, Nick Wilson, and Dominic Clucas nominated.

2.            Blaine Higbee Moved to open queen nominations. Dwight Jones seconds.

i.          Stephanie Rostad, Marina Jacobe nominated.

XI.  Student Issues

TJ parking lot missing lights.

No clock in room 104 of EMan…Need clock walk!

Printing Policy

- Can go to IT walk-in center and get a voucher for

- Go to http://it.mst.edu/clcprint/ to complain about Printing Policy

- Student Life can print for organizations

TJ N middle stairwell has lots of exposed wiring

There are double sided printing stickers are printers that do not have it.

TJ will not be handicap accessible this year while construction is going on.

TJ potholes are getting worse and worse and should be fixed after the construction.
