Committee Assignments 24-25

All Members of Student Council are assigned a committee. Those members attend committee meetings, help plan and run any committee-related events, and sponsor Bills or Resolutions offered by that committee.

Fitness and Recreation Advisory Committee

Chaired by the Auxiliary Services Lead, this committee gathers feedback on Fitness and Recreation services to inform SAFB, and recommend changes. Reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Havener Advisory Committee

Chaired by the Auxiliary Services Lead, this committee gathers feedback on Student Involvement, Havener, and Innovation Lab services to inform SAFB and recommend changes. Reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Health Services Advisory Committee

Chaired by the Wellness and Professional Services Lead, this committee gathers feedback on health and wellness services to inform SAFB, and recommend changes. Reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Career Services Advisory Committee

Chaired by the Wellness and Professional Services Lead, this committee gathers feedback on Career Services, to inform SAFB and recommend changes. Reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Campus Infrastructure Committee

Chaired by the Campus Infrastructure Lead, this committee finds and addresses campus’ technological and physical issues with relevant admins, and attends meetings regarding safety and accessibility of facilities. Reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Leadership Development Committee

Chaired by the Leadership Development Lead, this committee develops and recognizes leadership, including programming events that teach and promote leadership skills. Reports to the Vice President of Outreach and Engagement.

College of Arts, Science, & Education Committee

Chaired by the College of Arts, Science, & Education Lead, this committee advocates for students within The CASE by meeting with the CASE Council and departments to address concerns regarding student needs, curriculum, and faculty and staff. Reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

College of Engineering & Computing Committee

Chaired by the College of Engineering & Computing Lead, this committee advocates for students within The CEC by meeting with the CEC Council and departments to address concerns regarding student needs, curriculum, and faculty and staff. Reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Kummer College Committee

Chaired by the Kummer College Lead, this committee advocates for students within The Kummer College by meeting with the Kummer College and departments to address concerns regarding student needs, curriculum, and faculty and staff. Reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Academic Resources Committee

Chaired by the Academic Resources Lead, this committee gathers feedback on LEAD, the library, the SDELC and the Writing Center to recommend changes. It also sends representatives to departmental committees regarding academic services. Reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Representative at Large Committee

Chaired by the Membership Liaison, this committee only consists of representatives at large and is only active if there are more than ten. It tackles issues not being handled by other committees including but not limited to internal proceedings, recruitment, and retention. Reports to the Vice President of Operations

Ad-Hoc Committees

The Student Body President may create Ad-Hoc committees to address matters of special interest, or for matters that require specific members.
